In the weeks leading up to our nation going to full-scale war with Iraq we all witnessed President Bush being attacked from many sides. Luke 6:26 says, “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you!” Clearly President Bush was in no danger of being overly praised. In fact it seemed to me that his leadership was being assaulted and assailed as it had never been since he became the President of the United States. That being said, I can honestly say I never doubted for one second that our president was right! Not because I voted for him or because of some party affiliation but rather because of some principles. Allow me to explain; I know the president is right because;

First, the Limp-cowardly French are opposed to our President. Honestly, if France ever backs our President I will question what he is doing. France is only with us when they need us. They were not with President Reagan when he led our country to bomb Libya. France is really like a lot of church members I’ve meet. You know the ones that never show up for visitation, for special services, or work days. They are not real loyal. They are on the roll so you never know when they will might show up and vote against what you are trying to do. They don’t mind waking you in the middle of the night. They think nothing of you sacrificing your life for them but the reverse can not and must not be expected. Never forget that 26,255 American dead from World War I are buried in 4 cemeteries in France. There are another 30,426 American dead from World War II buried in 6 cemeteries in France. I’m sure these 56,681 Americans who are buried on French soil agree with me on this point! I knew Bush had to be right because the ol’ limp-wrist French were lining up with our enemies. I just hope we don’t bail them out the next time they are at war!

By the way, the Germans, Chinese and Russians are also not with our President. Here is the lesson: Don’t look to people who have a history of being your enemy for direction or support. Seek God for wisdom and direction. We are a very blest people, most other countries cannot handle that. They are jealous. They have an interest in seeing us fall. The Washington Post first reported Sunday that a Russian company is helping the Iraqi military deploy global-positioning system jammers to Baghdad. Two other companies have sold anti-tank missiles and thousands of night-vision goggles in violation of U.N. sanctions. Imagine if Bush had listened to this crowd? He’d be listening to our enemies.

Here is another reason I know President Bush is right, the Lying-counterfeit religious crowd is not with us! The Pope is not with us. The Vatican said on Tuesday countries that decide to wage war on Iraq without a global consensus (permission) must take responsibility before God and history -- making it clear that the Pope would not endorse their actions. For the record, any country that is supported by the Pope is doomed. Did you know that the only sovereign entity to support the Confederate States of America during the war between the states was the Vatican. That spelled doom if nothing else did. The Vatican has said it will not shut its embassy in Iraq even if war breaks out. Mark it down, the Catholic Church won’t back this country and its President because it can’t control it. Where was the Pope when Jews were being killed by the millions? Don’t ever look to lying counterfeits for direction or help. They have not lasting convictions. They serve their belly; that is it.

Here is another reason that I know our President is right, the Laughable-cackling women are absolutely not with our President! Jessica Lange, the Hollywood actress, went so far as to tell a crowd in Spain that she hates President Bush and is embarrassed to be an American. I’m in agreement with the second part of her statement. Last week the queen of TV talk Oprah Winfrey went anti-Bush in a stunning hour-long broadcast called "Why Do So Many Hate the U.S.?" On Oprah’s show she outlined so called ‘double standards’ in American foreign policy. Oprah warned that the United States is going have a bad reputation throughout Europe. She repeatedly used words like ‘cowboy’ to describe our President. But Oprah wasn’t the only lily-liver comical woman to side against President Bush. The Dixie-Chicks are not with our President. The lead singer of ‘the chicks’ attacked President Bush while they had a concert in Europe. Friend, if Bush is ever lined up with Oprah and the Dixie-Chicks I for one will know he’s taken a wrong turn. I wish someone would explain I Timothy 2:12 to these women. It says, “I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.” I’m glad these woman don’t like our President. That says a lot about him to me. Start in Genesis and see how much of your bible you have to read before you find a man who followed a woman and did right. I am not attacking women. I thank God for godly women. It is sad that so many men follow their wives instead of leading them. Young men are growing up who don’t know how to lead because all they have seen are dads who jumped every time momma barked. There is no place in the bible where man is commanded to be the head of his home, it is simply a statement of fact. Read I Cor. 11:3.

Here is one final reason that I know our President is right, the Liberal-crackpot politicians are against him. Jimmie Carter and Bill Clinton both have broken with over 200 years of presidential tradition and attacked a sitting President. Remember how Jimmy did when he was in the Whitehouse? An American embassy taken and hostages were held for 18 months. How about Bill Clinton? I don’t even want to go there. I like a man who is led by principle instead of polls. May I say the same reasons I know President Bush is right are some of the same reasons you can know you are right even when the majority says you are wrong. It takes backbone and conviction to plow on when you are out numbered. It takes courage and fortitude to follow your beliefs when so many big-shots disagree. President Bush will not always be right, but he is right now. The crowd against him makes that clear to me.
