"YOUR FEAR COULD COST YOU YOUR SOUL"

I've met a lot of men who claim to be tough as shoe leather and hard as nails. They boast that they fear neither man or beast. But when it comes to openly receiving and professing Christ as Saviour they wilt like cowards and they shrink in fear. The concern for what other men will think and say about them has cost many a person their eternal soul. This is also true of thousands of teenagers who allow pressure from their peers to cause them to reject Christ as Saviour and rob them of heaven.

A story is told of a mouse who greatly feared cats until a magician turned him into a cat. That took care of that until he was chased by a dog. The magician obliged him by turning him into a dog but then he encountered a tiger. The mouse turned cat turned dog turned tiger appealed again to the magician, but the magician wisely told him, "you have the body of a tiger but you still have the heart of a mouse," and he turned him once again to a mouse.

Remember, "the fear of man bringeth a snare, but who putteth his trust in the Lord shall be safe." (Prov. 29:25) This condition of fear can be easily overcome by heeding the advice of the Lord to Joshua, "Have not I commanded thee ? Be strong and of a good courage, be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." (Joshua 1:9)

Remember who you serve and who goes with you! Stand up for Him and He'll stand up for you. Don't be overcome with fear!
