Last February at the Trumpet Banquet, we dedicated a Trumpet Room here at the Faith Baptist Church. Several individuals and churches sent in offerings for that project. Thanks. Your offering helped make it possible to tear and out and replace walls, and completely furnish a beautiful room with Trumpet memorabilia from the past half century. Again, thanks.
This February 7th, 2000 we’ve planned a tremendous line-up of preachers to be with us for the 48th annual Trumpet Banquet. Jerry Clark, Bill Grady, Bill Behrens, Dennis Carter, Mike Allison, and Phil Kidd will all be preaching the Word of God that day. The Rochester family will be providing special music. America’s last true Cole-Porter, Bro. Larry Harrison, will be with us with a huge selection of Bibles, commentaries, and various reprint books. Make plans now to be with us for the first Trumpet Banquet of the next millennium. Look for articles from these preachers in the next Trumpet.
I want to thank the following Churches for sending in support to the Trumpet last year: Gethsemane Baptist Church in Anderson, Augusta Hwy Baptist Church in Greenwood, Tabernacle Baptist Church in Greenville, Grace Baptist Church in Landrum, Harvest Baptist Church in Inman, Oak Grove Baptist Church in Piedmont, Alpine Baptist Church in Columbia, Gantt St. Baptist Church in Cayce, Trinity Baptist Church in Williamston, Bible Baptist Church in Simpsonville, Beacon Baptist Church in Lexington, Faith Baptist Church in Laurens, Trinity Baptist Church in Spartanburg, Calvary Hill Baptist Church in Pacollete, Mt. View Baptist Church in Cowpens, Eastside Baptist Church in Greenwood, Open Door Baptist Church in Sumter, and the Brooklyn Baptist Church in Chesnee. We also want to thank all the dear folks who subscribe to the Trumpet. The Trumpet is printed each month by the Fundamental Home Mission in Besemer City, North Carolina. Richard Murphy and several others at FHM take great care in getting the Trumpet ready each month. These folks love the Lord, are dedicated to printing. If you have any tracts, sermons booklets, books, letterheads, envelopes, or any other form of literature to print, and you’re looking for a quality job, let these folks do it.
We also want to thank Bro. Ernest Lundy for his work editing the Trumpet for the almost three years—he oversaw this ministry. Thanks is also in order for Bro. Raleigh Lindsey, for sorting and labeling the Trumpet for the past 3 years and for training our ladies here at Faith to take over that responsibility. We also want to thank the Trumpet’s book keeper for the last quarter century, Mrs. Oleta Gambrell. With out all you it is highly unlikely that the Bible Trumpet would be nearing it’s 50th birthday.
