Heretofore the on-line version of the Trumpet has been freely available and it has become a very popular Internet site. We are very glad to have picked up many new readers through this ministry, but we have started to lose subscriptions to the printed version of the Trumpet as people have found they can get the same content for free on-line. We cannot afford to do this and continue publication. The subscription fees we collect do not currently cover the cost of publication, let alone allow for planned expansion of the paper. For this reason we have forced to publish two separate version of the Trumpet On-Line.
The version you are currently reading will continue to be free. It is however a limited version. The announcements and brief news articles and one or two feature articles will appear in this version.
The second version will contain all of the articles that appear in the printed version. The full version of Trumpet On-line will be available through an annual subscription fee of only $7.00
We have set up a convenient subscription form here on the new web site ( The new site was donated - $0 - not paid for with subscription fees. )
Brethren, we have been greatly disappointed, have we not, with some of our converts? We shall always be disappointed with them so far as they are our converts. We shall greatly rejoice over them when they prove to be the Lord's work. -- CH Spurgeon
“We do not regard it to be soul-winning to steal members out of churches already established, and train them to utter our peculiar Shibboleth: we aim rather at bringing souls to Christ than at making converts to our synagogue. There are sheep-stealers abroad, concerning whom I will say nothing except that they are not "brethren", or, at least, they do not act in a brotherly fashion. To their own Master they must stand or fall. We count it utter meanness to build up our own house with the ruins of our neighbours' mansions; we infinitely prefer to quarry for ourselves.” -- CH Spurgeon
I am sure you would say, first of all, that a man who is to be a soul-winner must have holiness of character. Ah! how few who attempt to preach think sufficiently of this! If they did, it would strike them at once that the Eternal would never use dirty tools, that the thrice-holy Jehovah would only select holy instruments for the accomplishment of His work. -- CH Spurgeon
