I WAS "DRUG" TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY MORNING -
I WAS "DRUG" TO CHURCH ON SUNDAY NIGHT -
I WAS "DRUG" TO CHURCH ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT -
I WAS "DRUG" TO SUNDAY SCHOOL EVERY WEEK -
I WAS "DRUG" TO VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL -
I WAS "DRUG" TO THE FAMELY ALTAR TO READ THE BIBLE AND PRAY.
I WAS ALSO "DRUG" TO THE WOODSHED WHEN I DISOBEYED MY PARENTS.
He added, 'THOSE 'DRUGS' ARE STILL IN MY VEINS, AND THEY AFFECT MY BEHAVIOR IN EVERY THING I DO, SAY, AND THINK. THEY ARE STRONGER THAN COCAINE, CRACK, OR HEROIN."
When he finished, I thought the drug problem in America today is quite different. Our kids are 'drug" to the baby-sitter. They are 'drug" to the baseball game. They are "drug" to soccer practice. They are "drug" to cheerleading. They are "drug" off to the swimming pool. Sadly, this kind of drug problem leads to emptiness that causes young people to look to the drugs that they find out on the streets. Would to God we could get back to the old fashion 'drug problem'!
