Comments from Trumpet Readers

Brother Steve, — I enjoyed your "Divorced" article in the April edition. You provided some good supportive evidence and thoughts. I hadn't looked at the OT priest qualifications in this light. You did a good job looking at the "tenor" of the law and not just the words, themselves. We need to do more of that--right-brain thinking! I really enjoy your "Trumpets!" Thanks for keeping the banner high! It's being brought low to accommodate more and more sin, even in the pulpits of America's churches. Such a sad thought! - Pastor Mike Myers - Grace Baptist Church of Columbus, IN

Pastor Mays, I really enjoy your home page and the Trumpet. Not many pastors will take a stand against divorce! Keep standing strong for the Lord and on his Word. Ian Anderson

Bro. Mays - Praise the LORD for a preacher who still has the nerve to speak out on divorced preachers. I think your article is needed and excellent. Many say it is alright for an Evangelist and give us a bad name. You nailed it good with the Scriptures. Keep up the good work. — Evangelist Leon Foote - Covington, GA

Dear Pastor - I am a divorced preacher. For over 27 years I was not, until my wife left me and our four children to cohabit with her lover. I have recently completed a book dealing with the positions you imply that you are ready to defend and give yourself to be somewhat of an authority on I will offer you the challenge I have made to many other "no divorce/remarriage" advocates. Prove to me from the KJV where I am wrong and I will destroy every remaining copy of the book, apologize, and never mention the matter again. -- In His mercies, William Nicholson
