Bearing Precious Seed Printers Attacked in India

Chad and Faith Mann, Jim and Karen Guiton, and Roger and Elizabeth Treadwell are missionaries with Bearing Precious Seed. They are training nationals to set up a Bible printing ministry in India. These three families were robbed during the night on Friday, September 14th. They were threatened with machetes. All of them live in the same apartment building.

The guard at the apartment building was taken first, then they went to the Mann's apartment and threatened them by waving machetes in their faces. They made them leave their children behind, then herded them upstairs to the area where the Guitons and Treadwells live. The men were tied up and the women put together on the couch, while they were all robbed. They took the wedding rings of all three couples, cell phones, all their valuables, and even their irons and ironing boards. When Jim Guiton tried to stop them, he received a gash in his head requiring stitches. We are thankful that no one lost their lives, but with all that is going on here in the States, it was terribly frightful for them. They are not positive, but are hopeful it isn't in anyway related to the other Islamic terrorist activity of the week. There is a large Muslim population around them, though.

We report this incident not only so that our Trumpet readers would pray for these families, but also for all the missionaries who work in and around Muslims both in Islamic countries and in countries with large Muslim populations. Thank you for your prayers for them and for our country.
