THE GROWTH OF FUNDAMENTALISM IN THE LAST DECADE
Fundamentalism is that movement in Christendom which voices protest and disapproval to the recent upsurge and infiltration of modernism in the churches. In the last decade, fundamentalism has known phenomenal growth because a great number of God's born again children have arisen as one man to stem the tide for the fundamentals of the faith. The current battle has crystallized many of God's true men into the American Council of Churches and the International Council. The former was organized in 1941, and embodies 16 denominations with 1,500,000 members. The latter was organized in 1948, and represents 42 denominations. All of this is to contend for the faith, standing for separation from the modernists. Also there is a great number of fundamentalists who are not yet identified with these organizations. Difference among them exist, but the difference is of degree, not of kind. On to a glorious victory when Christ comes!!
Where is the separation in the fundamentalists today? 11 Corinthians 6:17 states: "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing,- and I will receive you,"

This fresh water lake, with its abundant population of fish, is situated 700 ft. below sea-level in the basin of the River Jordan, which flows into and out of it, between the mountains of Galilee and the Golan Heights. It is approximately 13 miles long and 8 miles wide.
The fertile Plain of Gennesaret which during Jesus' lifetime was quite densely populated, extends to the NW of the lake. It was in the nearby towns of Kafarnaum, Betsaida, Gadara, and on the lake shore itself that Jesus performed much of His public ministry. It is referred to by the name of Lake Gennesaret in Luke 5: 1. Apart from that, the Old Testament knows it as the Sea of Chinnereth, Numbers 34:1 1, Joshua 12:3, 13, 27, and also refers to the plain to its NW as Cinneroth in I Kings 15:20. The New Testament calls it the Sea of Galilee in Matthew 4:18 and, elsewhere, the Sea of Tiberias in John 6: 1, after the city of Tiberias which had been founded on the SW shore by Herod Antipas. The outstanding events around the Sea of Galilee during Jesus' ministry were: His call to the first four Apostles, Matthew 4:18-22; Mark 1: 16-20; Luke 5: 1 -1 1; the storm on the lake, Matthew 8:23-27; Mark 4:35-41; Luke 8:22-25; the raising of Jairus' daughter from the dead, Mark 5:21-43; Luke 8:40-56; the feeding of the five thousand, Matthew 14:13-21; the miraculous feeding of a crowd of people by Lake Tiberias, John 6:1-15; Jesus' walking on the water, Matthew 14:22; Mark 6:45-52; John 6:16-2 1; hearings of the sick, Matthew 14:34-36; Mark 6:53-56; the healing of a deaf man, Mark 7:3 1 37; the feeding of the four thousand, Matthew 15:32-39; Mark 8:1-13; and the appearance of the resurrected Christ by the lake side, John 21.
On our Trumpet Tours to Israel we always take a boat ride across the Sea of Galilee stopping in the middle for devotions and testimony.
Hope to see you in Tiberias!!! Leaving Nov. 2nd. Have a few seats left. Call quickly. $1995.00 from Greenboro, NC.
