I have given my life to old-time revival and church building. I have helped scores of churches get started in America as well as overseas. I love my country, and know that America is great because of the great God that blesses her. But in recent days, it seems like all of the scud missiles from Hell have been launched at America and at all that is decent. The overturning of the Sodomite laws is shocking. America is swallowing this Pagan, Hollywood lifestyle as a normal, or at least an acceptable alternative. Brethren, it’s perverted! The ungodly sit-coms of T.V. are now showing the open, homosexual lifestyle. Some dumb Christian parents are letting their children watch that trash, and it is stirring the curiosity of these young people. They will soon experiment, and then get caught up in this devilish life of the Sodomite. Parents, if you can’t control your children’s T.V. viewing (or yours), throw that idiot box in the trash!

The biggest thief that ever existed is sitting in your living room, and it is called the T.V. It has stolen more time from the book of God, family time, prayer, and the house of God than anything I know. Churches and preachers are weakened by its effect. The Holy Ghost is grieved at what Christians are watching. While Christians are musing in front of perversion, the pagan, atheistic liberals are intimidating Christians out of the Ten Commandments in Alabama. The secularists know that if they can do away with God (especially out of our Government) by perverting the separation of Church and State principle, they then can legislate every kind of immoral thing they want. This is called Generation X. I believe it’s Generation Triple X. Our whole society—in public, in front of our children in stores, malls, billboards, and sales ads—is X-Rated.

The only hope for America and our Independent Baptist Movement is if God would see fit to bring revival. But He’ll not bring revival if we Christians do not pray, humble ourselves, repent of our sins, and turn back to the God of the Bible for healing. America is in trouble. As a Christian, what are you going to do about it? Sit and sour? Or get right, win souls, pray, and have some holiness in your life. Let’s pray for our country, its leaders, and mostly for our good fundamental Baptist preachers and churches to stand true in these dark days.
