THE SEDUCTION OF PROMISE KEEPERS
PART II

X. Promise Keepers on Heathenism:

A. "Promise Keepers Clergy Conference," February 13-15 in Atlanta, Georgia. Before an estimated crowd of 40,000 preachers, Pentecostal minister, Jack Hayford introduced an "African witch doctor dance" to the group and strongly urged these fellow ministers to join him in this disgusting practice of out and out God hating heathenism. The Bible says, "Thus saith the Lord, learn not the way of the heathen..." (Jeremiah 10-.2). Taken from The Wilderness Voice, Liberal, KS.

XI. PROMISE KEEPERS ON DOCTRINE: They have no Official Policy Statement on Doctrine. They do not consider it important.

A. Do you want to join in fellowship with heretics, cultists and people who blaspheme Jesus by suggesting that He was a latent homosexual? Are you going to overlook doctrine for the perceived benefit of a male bonding ministry in your church?

XII. PROMISE KEEPERS GREATEST DANGER: Some have become Point Men or Ambassadors, taking the Promise Keepers to the churches in the communities, and recruiting Point Men. Jude 4, II Peter 2:1

1 . For Promise Keepers to have the desired effect upon the Church at large, it must work its way into the local churches on an individual basis. Dale Schlafer, Vice President of Pastoral Ministries for Promise Keepers, affirms this in the April 1995 Men of Action magazine: "A Promise Keepers Conference is simply a piece to a much larger puzzle of building a men's ministry in your church."

a. Does the Local Fundamental Pastor want a "ministry" inside his Church's ministry? Would you want a "church" within our church? This is the "Greatest Danger" among the Promise Keepers Movement.

Answer: Romans 16:17-18... Paul exhorts us to have nothing to do with those who cause division and offended contrary to the doctrine which we have learned in God's Word.

Conclusion: If Promise Keepers are interested in the home, why do they charge $65 per man to attend the conference? Last year (1 995) 750,000 men attended these meetings. That's $48,750,000. This year in Charlotte, NC, 150,000 men will attend the meeting at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. At $65 a head that is $9,750,000 plus the sale of books and materials. It sure looks like they are doing this for others, doesn't it?
